Re: 1931 coupe Rear corner repair

Re: 3 window coupe
There are some details that differentiate the Ford built slant windshield Fordor bodies from the other manufacturers.I think the easiest detail had something to do with the style of the D-nuts.Back...

Re: Car Is Shrinking........
I'm kind of looking for a Victoria.I'm going to replace my July of 28 Phaeton. But,I only want a steelback,no puffy tops.I'd be just as happy with a slant window Fordor too.

Re: Florida Drivers
A town next to mine uses an old cruiser as a scarecrow. Not reliable for service, but good for in town traffic details on road work.If a backhoe or dump truck tags it,no big deal. They also park it in...

Re: Florida Drivers
In 1993 I was driving a friends truck on a busy state road.Speed limit bounced between 45-50.That truck would top out at 58 MPH,and that's where I was running at.I had a woman behind me blowing the...

Re: Newbie with '29 RPU
The tops were not held on with snaps on those trucks, they were nailed on.They were not removable or foldable. There is supposed to be a piece of wood on top of the back panel, the roof nails onto...

Re: Car Is Shrinking........
Legroom or seat room is not a problem for me in an A.My problem is my shoulders.I can only drive a closed A with the window up for a very short time.I have to have my arms out from my sides,so the...

Re: Aries Stainless Steel Muffler
I put an Aries stainless muffler on my 30 pickup about 18 years ago.It has been used for around 26,000 miles since then.I've never had a problem with the original type clamp on it.I bought the...

Re: Sealed beams
I think people are not aware of how the new LED's work. The focus is in the bulb,or globe. They do NOT get focused like an incandescent bulb. With incandescent bulbs the light particles bounce off the...

Re: Sealed beams
With sealed beams you have to go with the old kit that replaces the lenses, and you get the bug eyed look,or the behind the lens conversion. That one has an aluminum ring that holds the sealed beam...

Wasn't there a manifold cast with a boss for a vacuum tap for a clutch assist? I know it was something that never came about though.I can't remember where I read it.Seems I read about it when I had...

Re: What keeps seat cushion in place? 31 PU
The cushion was held in place by two metal loops that hang down it the front. They just slide down behind the front of the seat riser and keep it from sliding ahead. The backrest had some pointed clips...

Re: Radiator 1928 model A / AS questions
If the cap was left off the radiator the blockage in there will be the least of the problems. The upper inlet of the block is a highway for mice to get in and set up condos in the block. You can't just...
