Re: Which thermostat control setting for electric fan?

An electric fan on an old Ford looks real stupid to me. Buy a copper radiator and run a mechanical fan. You should have no problems with Skips pumps.

Re: '34 pickup sale;am I wrong?

I never buy something to sell. I never sell anything and my place looks like a junk yard. When the county comes by to complain , I tell them some peoples wealth is hard to hide. No body seems to...

Re: Vacuum can

Dodge and other cars used a vacuum canister as a fuel pump. The vacuum was created with a venturi in the engine lubricating system. Wherever you have flow you can create a vacuum. I think Dodge used...

Re: Primary fuel pump

Vic

How old are you? Just kidding. The main thing is we both love flatheads. Some days I fell like I am 50 and other days I feel like I am 75.

Re: Primary fuel pump

Vic, changing a pump on a flat head on the road side is fun. Half hour of work and you meet a lot of people. I had a bad pump and had to have somebody blow into the tank to get it primed. Mrs Sturgis...

Re: Primary fuel pump

Ken CT can supply a good fuel pump. The stock pumps run real good when you buy a good one. When I see an electric pump on a flathead, I think a lazy parts man or bad parts supplier or a trendy buyer...

If you own a stock Model"A" you can not be in a hurry. Just kidding. I love working on old Fords. Try changing a crank shaft pulley on a new car. They had a new Mini Cooper at the local gas station...

Re: Curious How many run a Temp Gauge & OR Oil Pres. Gauge POLL??

The v8 forum had a thread about tachometers. They said a 12 volt tachometer will work on a 6 volt system. The light bulb will need to be changed. I think I will buy a cheap 12 volt tachometer that...

Re: oil pressure gauge question

There is a plug on the side of the block right above the oil pump. I think this is the only place to hook up an oil pump.

Re: Nice surprise, front crossmember

Somebody sells reproduction cross members. It might be Snyder. There is one on the market that will lower the front end about an inch. I think lose u-bolts cause most of the damage. A piece of...

Re: v/8 in model A

The V8 60 is 137 cubic inches. The Model"A" engine is 200 cubic inches. The Model"A" engine has a lot of torque. You might want to look at Van Pelt web site. They list the specifications for...

Re: Wanted 1936 ford roadster

I would like a 36 roadster too. A local hoodlum had one when I was a small child. I talked to a friend a few years ago that bought the car. He sold it for $25.00. I could have bought it with my paper...
