'39 running boards?

I saw some Bob Drake running boards & they seemed really high priced. I found some on eBay & the covers that you can glue on. They are a bunch cheaper. Do any of you know if the glue on kind are...

Re: headliners?

Hi guys, and thanks for the replies, especially the levity, really funny. I should have known when my upholsterer said, "Acme, just remember the road runner", that should have been my first clue. ...

I have a 1939 standard sedan. My upholsterer said to get an Acme headliner. I see that Mac's has them but I can't determine which one I need by the website. So do I need to call them or is there a...

Re: '39 hood latching problem

Hi Phil & TJ, Phil, does your hood latch stay "locked" in place against the stop once you latch it? is it secure there?
Phil, thanks for the heads up on the Ford book. I think I'll probably need...

Re: '39 hood latching problem

Hi Phil, and thank you much for the reply. The top part of the latch doesn't stay "tight". I can move it an inch or two & I think it should stay tightly latched against the bottom part of the...

Re: '39 hood latching problem

Wow, that's scary!! I'm thinking on these '39s the latch should be much more stable & stay firmly latched. I was hoping to find someone on here that had experienced the same problem & had a good...

I have a '39 Standard that I just bought a new Bob Drake hood orn/handle assembly for. The ornament doesn't stay tight against the stop when latched. I haven't driven it yet but I'm guessing this...

Re: '39 Standard hood orn/handle

Hi, I figured out that it's not the top, but where the square on the shaft fits in the hood mechanism. Now I just have to be careful & not take too much off. Thanks, Rod

'39 Standard hood orn/handle

I just installed my Bob Drake hood orn/handle on my '39 Standard. It seems the boss on the handle needs some material removed so it will sit a little farther down in the ornament. I'm guessing...

Re: '39 window regulators

Hi JSeery, & thanks for the post. Bob Drake says that '37-'39 are the same. I sent pictures & measurements to the guy who had some 37-39s & he said they appear to be the same so he's sending them...

I've spotted a rear 1/4 window regulator for a '36-38. It looks like my '39. Will it fit? Thanks in advance, Rod.

I doubt that's what they're called, but my regulators(rear side)on a two door sedan, are really rusty & I'm not sure the parts that go in the channel are okay. I can get them in the channel but they...

Can anyone tell me what to use in the channel behind the front door on my '39 that the windlace staples to? Mine is gone. It looks like a fiber sort of thing in a friend's '39 coupe. Thanks in...

Re: '39 window regulators

Hi guys, and thanks. Regulator first & then glass, eh? After all the bad comments I'm still apprehensive but that sounds like good advice. Thanks again, Rod

Re: interior trim panels

RalphG, that's another consideration. The panels I looked at from Mac's come with clips. Expensive but I think it's worth it. TJ, I think I'll check out Cartouche before I buy. Thanks to all, Rod
