Re: Wheel interchange

I was going to comment on your response but decided it wasn't worth it. Instead I will post a picture of some Model A rims that were cut down to use 16" tires because they were more plentiful than...

Re: Body Lines of Model "A"

Re: Wheel interchange

I believe it was more that it was easier to get 16" tires during the war than 19" and 21" than it was for comfort. That is why a lot of Model A wheels were reduced in size. I just seen a set of 16"...

Re: Wisdom of Stopping Engine by Choking It Out

OK look at the other side. If that gas were to evaporate, how is the going to help the engine on re-start?

I never mentioned rust, my concern was dry cylinders. And where is the gas going to...

Re: st"A"rt in 46 seconds

Stoney, Perhaps you should have warned us this was a parody. Apparently it went over more than a few of our heads. Haha. We all need more humor these days. :D

Re: Wisdom of Stopping Engine by Choking It Out

I wouldn't. As mentioned it will wash the oil off of the cylinders. Any excess gas is going to end up in the oil pan, eventually diluting the oil. No not a good idea.

Re: Engine quit running help

What is your engine temperature running at. If you are running too cold it could be condensation accumulating. I usually pull my distributor when doing a tune-up to check. Doesn't hurt to put a...

Re: Engine quit running help

I have to ask, is the distributor point cam tight?...
