One bad condition could be a badly rusted water jacket wall seeping through. Try a cylinder pressure and compression test and check for pressure entering the radiator.
I lost a rebuilt engine this...

I need to verify the part and/or the casting number for a Bellhousing of a Lincoln or Big Truck 368 Y Block. Could anyone please help?

Yes he intends on cleaning it.
He was porting in the rough areas just to check around in the questionable areas before continuing and found it.

Well that’s some good news.
I sold this block and buyer isn’t happy with it.
With every used block you take chances and I understand his hesitancy.
But I didn’t think it would be something...

59 engine weird crack.

A crack was found on the very edge of this port. Sorry about the poor picture but it’s located at the very edge near the valley and it’s about an 1-1/2” in length.

Is this something to repair?...

Adjustment of the spring tension should be done by monitoring the RPM vs advance.
Mac has the specs for that on this web page.
