twin 81s would possibly work a little better being just that tad smaller they will actually have a slightly higher air velocity thru the carb and therefore give the carb better internal signals ...

diesel thats a new one but i'll bet there where a lot less mozzyies around back to subject high idle a spray bottle and a mix of mentholated spirits [10%] and water engine up to operating temp...

"Flat jack" may have misunderstood Fan shroud with a crank mounted fan [39] sounds interesting any chance of photos/drawings having similar dramas but dealing with Sydney aus temps

sounds like classic sitting syndrome you leave it sitting and it will seize up [ nature of the beast] valves will be open and air gets in causing the rings and valves to start to seize leave it...

there are several options but its a 39 crank mounted fan twin diameter 6 blade mounted to the drive hub by vulcanized rubber single belt, crab dissy yeh all the good stuff so most options just...

this is easy offenhauser actually can supply an offset bracket and new studs to suit there are two to choose from left or right head and they will work even with stockers

cooling is only effective if you can get the balance between air flow and coolant flow correct . since an electric fan runs at a set speed there is no increase in cfm as engine speed/load increases ...

you ain't wrong that its not that effective at idle everything i learnt in trade school not to do they did how times have changed 1 fan is that low 1/2 the blades hang below the core 2 its...

yes Phil much improved now have 18" at idle 550rpm again no off idle stumble and it just drives much happier will try again when i can locate a set of YH keys and springs as mallory/msd say they...
