Re: 40 pickup
They are hard to find and have been out of stock seemingly forever. The longer handle seems to be easier to break, thus reducing their supply.

Re: No gas to engine still
A leak in the fuel line between the tank and the pump will cause it to suck air, not gas. Crazy idea, might check though.

Re: How do I check king pins for wear, 41 coupe
I'd second Rotorwrench on the honing. Soft bushings will hold abrasive particles. Hard surfaces like brake cyclinders are more reliably honed without impregnating the metal with the abrasive.

My experience with paint suppliers is that even with the original paint codes, they get close, but not close enough. The chemical composition of the paints may have or probably have changed over the...

Re: 2 year search ended, brought this home
Two years? Great work and good for you on the patience. Cool cars or cars that you specifically want seem to come out in dribbles and drabs. Just have to be that patient to get the one you want.

I've seen several instrument clusters for the 40 ford and see some bezels painted and some chromed. I'm afraid I haven't been paying attention to recall if one or the other was on a car that was...
