Do you have the flame arrester installed in the fuel filler port? I had mine removed and had considerably more fuel fumes in the garage. Replaced the flame arrester and saw much improvement.

I have the same zinc plated votage regulator cover that's shown in the 41-48 Ford Book and always felt it was the correct one because "it's in the book" but now a car restorer tells me that it's not...
