Another oddity is that the V8 brake pedal is shorter then the B model.

Bundy automotive tubing trade name is/was Bundyflex as I recall. Used to buy at virtually any auto store. Now, most majors seem to be using their name on the replacement tubing.

Try Tri C Engineering, located in Santa Clarita, Ca. 661-295-1550. Items they sell are pricy but very well built.

As has been pointed out, the late 51 Mercury, has a totally different set up to Ford or the 49/50 Mercury.

The pan has a connection to the flywheel cover. The bell is cast...

FWIW

Continuing to drive with broken transmission teeth could lead to gears locking up and breaking an otherwise good transmission case.

These cases do break and could possibly already...

FWIW
I take a thin piece of sheet metal, place it in the slot and use a 5/16" fine threaded bolt screwed in the threaded side of the column drop. When you tighten the bolt it will push the sides...

32 ford transmisssion

32 Ford V8 transmission with vin # stamped on housing. The case has a piece broken off on the bottom of the flange I have the broken piece.

Appears to be complete but rusty in shifter tower....
