49 F1 hood ornament

Has any one heard of or seen a hood ornament on a 49 F1 pick up. My hood has holes for one but not sure if it was a lost add on or original ? Thanks for any input ........ Bob:confused:

Good point Tom. I didn't mention that it's gonna be a 12 v , negative ground system. I just drive approx. a hundred miles a day round trip , so I'm shooting for dependability combined with original...
