Re: Float a motor

I have a float-a-motor mount in the front of the engine, my crossmember was cracked pretty bad so I had it welded and decided it would be better to spread the weight.

I was wondering if it is a good idea to cut a window in the flange of the body to reveal the vin number. When we get an inspection sticker the inspector always looks for it. What do you guys do?

Re: Front cross member repair

I just had mine tig welded, then I installed a float a motor front mount. The weld job cost me $100.00. A lot easier than replacing the crossmember with another old one.
