Speedo cable
My '49 F-1 speedo cable only turns in reverse and not in forward gear, the speedo has worked fine for the past year or better....What do I need to look for ??

Static in Radio
Do any of u old timers recall how we got rid of engine noise in the radio on the old 6 volt system, I recall we installed a couple condensers but don't recall where and what kind...kinda dealin with...

shoebox rocker molding
Does anyone know how to install the stock rocker mldg clips on the shoebox ??? Mine are orig. and I can't figure 'em out daaah !!! and does the molding snap on to them once they on ?

Overheating
I just spent the last 2 days trying to get my '49 8ba in my F-1 to run cooler, I tried everything u folks said to do .... I treated w/evaporust and it came out nice and clean, I installed new 160*...

This is a '49 wide belt, the blade is approx 2"wide & the end/top of blade comes to a point, the truck fan is approx. 3 " wide & is blunt/flat @ the top/end.

Does the fan used in the trucks [ wide ] move more air then the one used in cars [thin & pointed]? my '49 F-1 239 has the latter, should I change as I overheat :confused::confused:

Over heating
I took my '49 F-1 239 out for its 1st road run yesterday and the temp gauge went all the way up to H... got home & put temp gauge on rad. & got 194 degrees and got 214 degrees 0n heads, water pumps ,...

I just got my '49 F-1 on the road & after going to 15'' wheels my speedo is off a lot thus in order to keep up with traffic I have to run high RPM's .....
