I bought some stuff from him at Asheville a few years back, seemed like a decent enough guy. Never did any mail order stuff though. Good Luck

Re: Another Scammer
They can at least use the address to case your place. Having been the recent victim of a stolen 55 Chevy, these cocksuckers are getting brave. I know personally, several people who have lost property...

Re: Adjustable Tappets
I couldn't get two normal wrenches to fit in there. I found some of the thin wrenches used for changing the grinding wheel on some of my 4" grinders worked good. Good luck.

Re: Toyota chassis
Ive seen several nice Model A's gutted to build a hot rod. Find somebody doing that and you could likely get the whole running gear for a good price, they typically just want the body and the title....

Re: swap car show at Fletcher, NC
I didnt make it this year, either. They were predicting 90% chance of rain the day before, and I had an opportunity to work overtime, so stayed home and made money instead of spending it to buy more...

Re: New parts @#$%^&*!!!
Maybe the picture doesn't do it justice, but it looks like it's touching to me, just a little bit, at the very corner of the washer.

Re: Leaking head gasket
I'm not a fan of backing the nuts off before re torque, but if you do choose to do it that way, go half way, say 30lbs, in Sequence, and then on to 55, in the correct order. Like was stated, you may...

Re: Replies to forum
I cant answer the "where did it go", but I just always use the reply, and not the quick reply, and it seems to work ok. I had trouble with the quick reply, too, so that's why I dont use it. Good Luck.

Re: rebuilt engine price?
If you're looking at an ad and thinking of buying, the first thing to ask is "Who did the babbit work? "

Re: Not showing our cars anymore?
The reasons are probably as different as the owners, but I find that I'd rather just get out and take drive. Maybe go to eat, take a little mini-tour of the countryside or something. If I go to a car...

Re: Installing a synchro Ford trans in an A
Unless you're putting in one with overdrive, you aren't gaining anything. Spend one good morning learning to double clutch, it's a whole lot easier and cheaper. Good luck.
