Re: Broken wheel spoke

The spoke has a clean break near the middle. I can put the spoke back together and only a hair line crack shows but it comes apart again when driving. Can a spoke be replaced? I think that I will...

I put on my spare tire and found a broken spoke. Can it be repaired?

Re: Vendors

I want to buy from a company that refuses to sell something of bad quality. I use Bratton’s because I have noticed items that they don’t offer. I appreciate that.

Re: Do you use Mounted Dripping Oil Catch Pans?

Are you talking about the rear main janitor? If so, I have one of those but never used it. The one that I ‘m talking about is much larger and yet it allows the oil and transmission fluid to be...

Re: Do you use Mounted Dripping Oil Catch Pans?

I haven’t seen the one you are talking about. I will look it up to see how they compare. Apparently they weren’t available when Mike Kemp made the one that I have. I’ve owned it for a few years.

Re: Do you use Mounted Dripping Oil Catch Pans?

I purchased a very nice catch pan that was made by Mike Kemp from Mooresville,IN. He sells Omega leakless water pumps for Model A’s. He designed and manufactured several pans that fit under the...

Re: Using a 12 volt Nappa coil with a 6 volt electrical system on Model A

I don’t know. What would happen if you use a 6 volt coil for a 12 volt system? I’m using the 12 volt with a 6 volt system. It works but there are some strange things happening. When I start the...

Re: Using a 12 volt Nappa coil with a 6 volt electrical system on Model A

That should work. The reason for using the Nappa 12 volt coil is that they don’t break down due to heat. This is for touring A’s.

Re: Synthetic oil

Thanks Ernie, I'm running Mobile One 10 30 as well. I have been concerned that I should have purchased 10 40 for here in Indiana.

Re: Synthetic oil

I used a high quality synthetic transmission fluid once but had to change back to the old 600 weight because the seals leaked. With the synthetic, shifting gears was the best ever. What a shame not...

Rubber body mounting blocks

I own a 1930 roadster and it tends to sound junky when hitting bumps. Would it make sense for a company such as Float-A-Motor to make rubber body mounting blocks to quiet this type of Model A down? ...
