Re: Crime Does Not Pay.

John,

Did the San Diego Swap Meet on Saturday remind you of England? I was in the middle of the Qualcomm parking lot without an umbrella when the rain hit. Had to run home to dry my cloths.

Re: Would there be any interest in a programmable electronic points replacer?

The product description states that the coil should be 3+ ohms: “The use of . . . coils with resistance values lower than 3.0 ohms will cause the module to fail.”

You’re ok if you have converted...

Re: 90 degree oil filter hits oil return pipe

Roxo,

Snyder’s website says it’s $124 and they’re out of stock.

Someone above mentioned Speedway. They list a Ford Performance M-6880-A50 90 Degree Oil Filter Adapter for $89. Also list a...

Re: Bucket Seats for Model A Street Rod

It seems to me that any hot rod shop could give you some ideas on what to use and may be able to fabricate something to give you the correct height. They do it all the time.

You could also check...

Re: epidemics in the Model "A" era

I remember they gave those sugar cubes out to everyone in junior high or high school, but I was absent that day. A year or so later they gave the vaccine to everyone at school via an injection. By...

Re: epidemics in the Model "A" era

ericr,

Another factor was that the size of the towns was smaller in the ‘50’s. My home town of Redlands was 14,000 people, not unlike the other towns in inland Southern California. There were more...

Re: Flame arrestor?

I think it does fill more slowly plus in California we have those gas recirculating devices on the nozzle that makes it even hard to fill the tank even in a modern car.

I finally gave up filling...

Re: Flame arrestor?

Bratton’s lists it as a screen which also serves as a “spark arrester” for $12.05. Their screen does not screw in nor does it have tabs, “it just sits there”.

If you want the original type it’s...

Re: 1931 Model AA Paddy Wagon

Might be worth $45,000 if the “prisoner” comes with it, or maybe that babe with the Tommy Gun that pops up on Ford Barn now and then.

Re: Radiator Baffle

Salman,

You might ask someone at C.W. Moss if they can recommend a radiator shop near you that works on vintage cars. They might clean it out for you or maybe put a baffle in for you.

The guys...

Re: Redneck ( but effective) way to clean gas tank

Whirnot,

You should take Brent up on his offer. Won’t cost you anything except the shipping, then no worries.

Re: What would Henry think ??

A “540 ci. Aluminum Hemi (Indy Block) 871 Blower, Fuel Injection” with a tiny Model A sized radiator! It probably only runs for 5 minutes before it overheats big time.

Do you mean the one at the Little League Baseball Park in San Bernardino? It’s also easier to walk.

The Riverside Model T Club has a Swap Meet there in May or June with a lot of Model A Parts.

Re: Dipstick for Tremec T170 Transmission

Maybe it would be best to contact a Tremec dealer. I spoke to a dealer from Texas at the Good Guys Car Show at Del Mar last year.

By the way, I’m interested in finding out how the transmission is...
