Re: Veterans Day

I lost most of my left foot to a lawn mower in 1967, I was 3 1/2 years old. During the Vietnam war so many people told me I'd never have to worry about ever going to war because of my foot. Looking...

Re: Cold Weather Operation

I want to say "duh" but I guess they were still learning. I take for granted sometimes what I've learned growing up riding tractors on steep hillsides, driving silage trucks that wouldn't start...

Re: Carb Rebuild

I went to a local Stihl dealer to get a rebuild kit for a saw. The fellow told me I could buy a new carburetor off eBay cheaper than the rebuild kit. I got a carburetor, air filter, spark plug, fuel...

Re: Old problem but new twist? Coolant loss

I've read on here that the level will settle in to a spot that fits the car. Most say that you probably won't see the coolant as it will be below the baffle of the radiator. Yours may not have this...

Re: Battery powered creeper

Cracked Block

After changing a leaking and worn out water pump I noticed a wet spot under the water pump. Looks like the engine block has been let freeze at some point and cracked about a 3 inch long crack. It...

Re: Werner - ask away

I wonder if a "load-lock for a small pick up would work? It's a telescoping two piece rod that has a ratchet type action to spread the rod. I can spread the bedside on a Toyota Tacoma pickup if I'm...

Re: Cooked corn in radiator

I would take the radiator off if I were you, it doesn't take long and not a big deal. You can turn it upside down and let the water flow both ways.

For the adapter, I would go to the hardware or...
