Another thing you have to realize is the intake valve stem is under Hi Vacuum, but the exhaust is under pressure, and need kubrication or they seze.

Adding dual carbs, eliminates the stock distributor, so you'll need to change distributors anyway. AS for the grind, that's up to the application. but the cost will be high in any case. Gramps.

I think you need 8RT pumps. No you can't use the early distributor without changing the cam. not sure the back gouverner/dist boss will clear firewall sorry
