Probably the best way to go would be to ask around to your fellow car buddies to see if they, or any of their friends, are experienced bodymen; you'd be surprised to learn how many guys/gals out...

Rejeting the Stromberg 97
So my '35 has a Strom 97 on it. The car is now at my home outside of Denver, CO after spending its whole life in the midwest at sea level. I'm thinking about rejeting the carb from #45 to #43's and...

Okay, with the nice weather we've been having out here in CO I've finally been able to put some good miles on the coupe once I changed the oil, drained out all the old gas and gave the '35 its first...

Gas options
Hey All,
I mentioned this in another thread but I figure I’ll start a new one to get a larger response. What are your recommendations on gas? Specifically, what octanes to use with these old motors...

I know I am really showing my ignorance here but please bear with me....why would you have an "auxillary oil drain hole" when the large "normal hole" seems to work just fine? Again, brand new...

Every store is different however a gallon as a minimum is crazy, especially if it's an exceptionally expensive color (red, yellow etc). All the stores in my area will go as small as a half pint....

I work in the automotive paint industry and it is very common that one should need a specific blue in a true automotive paint and cannot find it. What you do is head to your local automotive paint...

Wonderful, I will reach out to "Uncle Max" then. Once again showing my ignorance, with these old flatheads does eveyone use regular unleaded gas with a lead additive or is there something else out...

Wow guys, thanks for all the great responses!!! I will try slowing the shifts down and keep feeling for that "sweet spot". I'm sure this is only the beginning of the issues I will have to work...
