Re: electric fan

Why? The stock cooling system is more than adequate for a stock Model A. I doubt there is anything you could do to a modified Model A engine to make it overheat if it is running properly. What is...

Re: Model B engine

How did he determine it was produced in 1932? Was the serial number from an engine produced in '32? If it was a leftover sold in '32 it would have been titled as a '32 as defined by most DMV's at...

Re: How to remove drum & hub from the type with the hub flange is OUTSIDE of the drum

Remember that you can't mix the hubs and drums. Ford sold them as an assembly. The drum needs to match the hub used. I would advise taking everything to a shop that knows what they are doing (many...

Re: Model B engine

Why do you think it is a Model B engine? The Model B engine has a provision for a fuel pump on the right side. There was a high performance head for the Model A that had a letter "B" cast into it,...

Re: Brakes

I would leave the 1/4 lines. Finding and installing all of the compatible fittings will make you crazy.

Re: Should I pass on this A? Or would I miss out on something?

The '31 slant window sedan was basically a steel body. It had the same amount of wood as a coupe (which is very little).

Re: Fire wall swap

chiliman,

A picture of your firewall would probably answer a lot of questions and save a lot of conversations.

Re: Engine Swap

I agree with Jim on this. This was a common "solution" back in the seventies, there were kits available to do this. The Pinto engine doesn't look right under the hood of a Model A. Soon people...
