Heck yea, definitely drop some insulation under that carpet. I would consider deflectors if I was planning on long trips with the hard top on, but I don't notice any heat radiating up at this point.

I am not sure what is worse, heating your seat or your fuel. I would be concerned about vapor locking with a tank of hot gasoline. What do you think, is that a consideration?

Yes it would be a fun trip regardless of the destination, will also give me a chance to go further than I ever have in this car.

Hey guys our car club is planning a Friday tour of the edelbrock plant. I am curious about it but has anyone else been? Is it worth the 2 hour drive?

Well, I am pretty pleased to report that we ran an average of 13.5 mpg. I reduced my timing advance from 14* to 12* because of the ping that I heard on my way home.

I am sure your right. For some reason my 57 had both wires. I "assume" because the person who installed the pertronix originally used it to offset the power. When I "thought" I was having ignition...

You guys are awesome. Yes she flys, the speedo just stops, I will take the advise and run her to the speedo shop. Using the gps works as well.
