Not 100% certain but I was always under assumption that plug gap for points is different from electronic ignition around .010” smaller? .030” points .040” electronic. Depending on the system? And...

Cool history lesson! Thanks Tubman for enlightening me, I’ve been wondering about this for a bit. Learn something every day.

Re: Beehive oil filter
I agree. I just can’t fathom why one would use something you wipe your ass with in their machine in place of an engineered filter unless they live someplace where they can’t get one. Not as if the...

Re: Beehive oil filter
Just wondering, wouldn’t toilet paper break down and clog up somewhere? Why use it when filters are readily available?

Re: 52 F1 Flathead
Maybe you should make something for bringing the engine back when it is finished while you still have it to measure. If you don’t want to bring nice painted engine back on a tire.

Re: 48-52 Ford Pickup Clutch Linkage
I know it says f7-f8. The smaller trucks are pretty much the same with few differences. F7-F8 has two piece release shaft and ball bearing pilot bearing and housing is one piece.

Wouldn’t the edging on the holes need to be sandwiched between surfaces in order to seal properly?

Re: carberator problem
You might have to blow it out with air from plunger side. I would put a rag over the hole so you don’t shoot it out and loose it or take out an eye.
