Agree that this is the worst part. I did mine on a workbench and wouldn't want to do it under the car. Parts get heavier as I get older :-)

Note that there is a VH40 and VH44 with different diaphragm diameters. Good price on Amazon.

The bolts along the top are cage nuts. I replaced some of mine with new.

I have a Midland Hy-Power brake booster, 55-57 T-Bird on my '40. It works very good and can be remotely located. There is a company in Austrailia that makes or made a similar design.

I agree. I had John Deats weld my carrier up. I replaced the clutches and did all assembly work myself. It is trouble free. Yeah "bullet proof", sure ..... and not RumbleSeat's experience. Shimming ...
