Re: 1951 shoebox a chevrolet guys 1st Ford
Head on over to the HAMB (jalopyjournal.com) and you'll get some answers. Most here on Fordbarn with a '51 Ford will be running a flathead or keeping their hood closed :D

Re: Fan to radiator clearance issue, any thoughts?
55cj5 thanks for taking the time to measure and shoot the pics. I don't have nearly that much space between the fan and rad (4 blade fan).
I'll post some pics when I get to a real computer, but it...

Fan to radiator clearance issue, any thoughts?
Well I'm a bit frustrated. Just spent a small fortune getting my stock rad recored, managed to get it back in the car (1931 Model A coupe, stock drivetrain) without too much drama. It's a tight fit,...

Re: New to me 1931 Coupe
That's easy... this is the only one that's on the road :D and it's actually why I bought it. The '51 has been a long term project and had been stuck in paint shop jail for over a year. The '41 is...

Re: 16" Radial size recommendations
I've got Bridgestone Ecopia EP02 black walls, 195/80R16 on '35 wires and they look good and ride well. I'm a die-hard bias ply guy, but I might leave them on.. Previous owner had them on the car when...

Thanks for the info gents. I'm going to order new shoulder bolts and springs from Macs and replace everything I can. The entire front end was off the car so I'll measure everything to see if I can...

Re: Ideas for Replacement Interior 48 Ford sedan

Re: '51 passenger car hood hinges, advice?
I guess I'm going to start by pulling everything off the car and replacing every nut, bolt and spring, and re-tapping every thread. Put it all back together again and see if it makes a difference.

Re: Two Lancaster bombers!
Bob T and I must live in roughly the same area (I'm in Niagara). The Lancaster from Hamilton flies over my house fairly regularly and I love to see it go over. We got married in our backyard and I...

'51 passenger car hood hinges, advice?
The hood hinges on a my '51 sedan don't work worth a damn. They were off the car for 4 years while I worked on other things, and now that they are back on I'm having a heck of a time trying to get...

The area around Dawsonville is beautiful too. Coming down from the north-east you would drive through the Great Smokey Mountains and some of the best driving roads in the country. Gorgeous in late...

Not just a crank, a crank with a story behind it.
The guy I got this from kept it in his bedroom closet along with a set of pristine Ardun heads and all the bits and pieces in peach baskets. He...
