I bought a NOS one from Barnfind08 for my 48 here on the barn. I had it tested when having the generator rebuilt. The shop that tested it said it was just fine.

All good tips depending which route to go. Removing the seat and the return springs on clutch and brake helps too.

I have recently installed new motor mounts when I replaced water pumps. Also have a new rear trans mount, planning to install.

In 42 or 43 we had an Essex, not sure of the year, sitting next to our garage that needed tires and a battery. My Dad couldn't get either so he sold it for 5 bucks. We went until 46 without a car....

DuPont used to have a product that you rubbed into your hands before starting to work or paint and washed off later. I don't see it anymore. I liked it better than gloves.
