Re: Radial Tires

Off topic, but here goes
Headliner is not original in a pickup. Mine had headliner in it when I bought it, but it was pretty much rotten, so I took it out. My pickup is the late '31 with the steel...

Re: ROTELLA 15W 40 Oil

Re: Trailering tips for protection

Here's a picture of how my friend did his. This was probably a 600 mile trip, about 100 of that was on an unpaved mountainous road.

Re: Pics of KD tube shock installation

Thanks Alex for not only the pictures but the descriptions to go along with it. Wish I had this to refer to when I installed mine several years ago.

In your post #3, you mentioned using the...

Re: Starter Foot pain

I fixed that situation by removing the "button" accelerator and replacing it with a pedal I bought on eBay for a mid '60s Mustang and modified it to fit on the shaft in it's place. It actually looks...

Re: Starter Foot pain

I had the same problem, even though I was wearing boots. I now have a key start in my pickup.

Re: Snyders or Randy Gross for rear brake rebuild.

I sent Randy "everything from the backing plates out". He sent me back what looked to me like "everything brand new". (including new cast drums). He did say that he had to replace one of my backing...

Re: Zero Grease Fitting Replacement

As others have said, like removing a tooth - vice grips and rock it back and forth while pulling.

Re: T-5 5 speed trans VS Mitchell overdrive

I have not had or even driven the T5 or a Mitchell. I do have the F150 Tremec transmission. Mine was a complete bolt in kit with no modifications to the vehicle. Fairly easy install. Essentially...

Re: Radial Tires

I have the Excelsior 550R19 tires on my pickup. They fit the spare wheel well much better than the 475-19 Firestone I had previously.

Re: Aristocrat dash swap

I would like to find a 31 Aristocrat (round speedometer). They seem to be as scarce as hen's teeth.

Re: Fan Belt Squeak

I have used all of the above, except the sanding. Nothing seemed to work except putting a new belt on. I'll have to try the sanding next time. Oh, I did (do) have the cogged belt.

Re: Anyone use a TomTom gps?

I hardwired a USB port in my pickup and plug my Garmin Nuvi into that. I have that port switched so it comes on automatically when I turn on my ignition.
