If it's a C then it could be the Canadian version of the 1A-7006-A transmission case. Casting numbers on the case will be related to the casting only and would be for factory ID match up during build...

The narrow bolt pattern indicates a transmission that has to have a full bell housing so that eliminates the pre 49 Fords. The Fords of 49 thru 51 have an appendage on the side cover for the clutch...
