I can try the wanted section,...

Re: Banjo hub bearing seat cracked
Point taken.
Yes this is the same rear end. It seems to have been roughly treated, perhaps with best intentions given that it’s not cheap once one cracks the seals.
My goal of course is to do...

Re: Banjo hub bearing seat cracked
Thank guys, some really good information! I think we need a virtual nickel jar here that the newly informed can contribute to a beer fund for the educated. :)
The split does end at the edge, the...

Re: 40 banjo case damage, how much is too much?
So, I’m not clear on this. When I think sealer, I generally think blue rtv. Seems reasonable insurance against weeping or other small leaks. What am I missing?

Re: 40 banjo case damage, how much is too much?
Thanks guys, great information. Happy to hear it might be salvageable, I was already checking out shipping rates for replacements :).
I’ll soak it and look closely for cracks and then use a flat...

40 banjo case damage, how much is too much?
Another banjo newbie question..
I noticed when pulling my banjo apart that it has been handled roughly at some point. It has some vice marks on the gasket surfaces, and a small area of galling,...

Re: Banjo bell bearing race puller?
Thanks, I’ll check them out. My go to otherwise (currently) would be Vanpelt. I had a good experience with them with my trans. But I’m new to Banjos and so happy to hear about good vendors.

Re: Banjo bell bearing race puller?
Following up in case anyone might want to use this method. It worked pretty slick! the races came out without damage to them as far as I can tell, and it’s free to boot. I only had 1/4 flat stock...

Re: Banjo bell bearing race puller?
That’s perfect. Photos help a lot, thank you for your trouble.
I scrounged around the shop and found some bits that I think will work for the job. Too late for grinding in my neighborhood tonight,...

Banjo bell bearing race puller?
Thanks for this! I had only briefly considered pressing rather than pulling, and figured it would be a struggle having to run through the bell, then I saw the Ford tool for this, and how narrow the...

Hi guys, having finished my trans rebuild I’m on to my banjo rear. Can someone point me to the correct (and obtainable) tool for pulling the bearing races? Note that I’d prefer a tool vs welding in...

35-36 rear trans mount. Source for rubber ring?

I have a quick trans question for those familiar with top loader internals.
I’m working to rebuild my first 3sp from a trans I bought for the 78 case. Turns out that the condition of...

Re: Door latch question
Thanks for the response guys. Sorry for the lack of info. The door I have is off a 28-29 Briggs Fordor (straight window). So I'm assuming that's what his application is (he's seen photos of it).

Door latch question
quick, possibly stupid question.
I have someone interested in a front door from a Fordor I have, just for the latch assembly. I'd really rather he find the part he's looking for rather than pay too...
