Thanks for the advice. I have a rear bumper but now I need to get the brackets that hold it to the frame. These trucks never look finished without the bumper.

I installed the tail lights with the bolts that hold the lower hinge on the tailgate. It worked like a charm.

Yes, it's 40 pickup, not a big truck. I didn't realize the grilles were all diecast.
I think I will try your method of using the L brackets. Would you have a picture?
