30-31 Roadster Rumble Lids

Hi all, I’m editing my original post. Upon further investigation I have 1 Roadster rumble lid and 1 trunk lid. Both are original Henry steel, but not original paint. They are in very good condition...

Re: Original style shocks

Original style shocks

Looking to purchase original style shocks for a 31' Deluxe Roadster. I can't bear drilling a hole in the frame for "modern" shock mounts. Have a couple of roadster parts I may be willing to trade or...

Re: Who's Buying An"A"?

Storage is my issue as well. With the 31' already taking up one garage bay, I'd have to talk my wife out of her spot in the garage, which will probably not happen.

Re: Who's Buying An"A"?

There's a good Model A frame and some other bits I may pick up for cheap. The pipe dream is to find a frame, or rolling chassis without a body to start building a speedster.

Re: Front spring decisions

Just a side note, I helped a friend with his springs and we separated the leaf pack and painted each leaf with John Deere graphite paint. They have ZERO squeak and they look great two years and 5000...

Re: Cowl lights

Wait... Does the tail light trick make them come on when you hit the brakes?

Re: Cowl lights

Can you post a picture? My experience with automotive electronics is changing lightbulbs. I can do a head gasket no problem but wires are like Latin to me.

Re: Cleaning Valves... Wire Wheel and/or Acetone

See if you can find a garage or shop or buy your own ultrasonic cleaner. It doesn't remove any material like a wire wheel does and it is not nearly as messy as sand blasting. Do a little research,...

Cowl lights

Has anyone ever modified the light wiring to make the cowl lights come on with the driving lights vs. the stock setting of one or the other? I'm terrible with wires so let's use beginner terms and...

Re: Quick question

That's what it looked like to me, but I wanted to avoid expensive noises the first time I hit the button. Thanks!

Quick question

I'm asking a dumb question to avoid a dumb mistake. I pulled my starter to remove my steering column. When I put it back on, should the starter gear be out towards the end of the shaft or back on the...

Re: Shipping woes...

It was between two layers of cardboard. The box didn't even say "do not bend" or any thing. I agree that gaskets this large should be shipped with at least a wood backer in the box...

If you go, let me know. I'll come along and arrange for a "chase vehicle" with tools, spares, and coolant.
