36 flathead-----does yours have any name, mfr, etc.. on it?

valve tool ID

i bought this valve tool from a guy and he said it is for flathead v8's and can be used to compress springs to remove keepers as well as to remove guide/valve assembly. can anyone identify this tool...

great info guys. i will talk to bob at pro machine in rapid city tomorrow and see what he says. i did find .40 rod bearings here, will just confirm the size tomorrow. i have had 5 or 6 merc 4"...

walt...i will have to check with the shop, i gave him my set of merc pistons which were .30 over and that is what he bored the block to. i imagine he removed the sleeves and bored it to the piston...

i have a 41 block in the shop, had it line bored, 4" merc crank and + 30 merc pistons. the guy at the shop says the crank will clean up at .40 for rods and mains. i haven't been able to find...
