18 or 20 . 22 is not worth being in a car or trying to do any serious welding due to warpage/blow through .

well this truck took a hell of a hit from the back . if i run a straight edge on the back the middle was in about 3 inches .

get that wood out!!! i think this is orig wood !

Hey Jeff .The tank was taped off . Everything else gets blown off with air then hit with prep sol !

dave hit the nail on the head . its all about the prep and tight fitting patches . Also doing it everyday for the last 3 years has helped greatly ! Thanks Dave!

Thanks Pete. I will take some 80 grit by hand to knock the edge off then it will get epoxy primer .

1931 flamingo this is a 32 ford

the other cab is still at the blasters... he is swamped...

On a closed truck I know its just about a 1 inch 90 degree break at the bottom and that is where it gets spot welded with no fold .

all one piece. on a closed cab truck the back of the cab is spot welded to the underside of the rear most crossmember .

metalho brings up a valid point in why as to why wait if I can. i like my work to be blasted as well incase anything is thin ... the blaster will blow through !
