Re: Oil transfer - recommendations?
I use a pressure setup-got tired of using the hand pump (as shown in the above post) while lying under jack stands. Made from a garden sprayer, some 3/8 tubing and a shut off valve, just pressurize...

Re: Techno-Source-Flathead-Ford
will the next generation love and cherish the machines we have preserved (or reinvented) from the past with the same passion?

Re: Who Drove their Ford Today?
Beautiful 80 mile drive in western Marin County today (just north of the Golden Gate Bridge)-this view is on Lucas Valley Road overlooking Lucas Valley, very near Skywalker Ranch (of George Lucas...

Re: Under floor Master Cylinder Brake Bleeding
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned using a pressure bleeder, such as the one by Motive Power-fast, easy, efficient and does a great job getting air out of even difficult setups. My '36 is converted...

Re: Things I should Know-long trip planned
My '36 pickup has a 221 cu in poured bearing motor similar to what would be stock in your '34, I routinely drive 100-200 miles without any concerns, the truck has a 3.78 rear end and is happy at...

Re: OT: dental torque
Tom, I tracked down your post from February, your '37 is a beauty-definitely my favorite 30's flathead sedan model. GB, your contraption looks positively lethal-I understand your wife's hesitation!...

Re: OT: dental torque
Tom, sure sounds like you've had a nice bunch of bikes and cars! I understand about the Kawi 900's, my son bought a Honda Hornet 919 a few years bike, I rode it for 5 minutes and gave him my...

Re: OT: dental torque
Tom, I've enjoyed riding with my younger boy too-he stopped when he had kids (now 4 and 6) but I kept his bike for him, a CB750 Nighthawk-I refurbished it last year and put it in the "rotation" with...

Re: OT: dental torque
Tom, you're welcome. It's always difficult when there's a divergence of opinion. Perhaps you could ask your primary to query an infectious disease (ID) specialist for their opinion, I would consider...

Farmertom, my left hip was done in 2004, the right in 2016, both still going strong; I selected my orthopedists very carefully-guys I had been referring my own patients to for many years. Like...

Re: What's worse?
Mart, that's a very interesting thought, but the highest torque value I could find on these little wrenches is 70 N-cm equating to about 6 inch-lb, not quite enough to get the job done

No question implants are expensive and can be problematic, but I think still better than the alternative-a bridge, or a toothless gap. Bruce, I feel for you, hope your repeat procedure works out....

OT: dental torque

Re: Intro
Hello Admiral,
Always nice to hear of another '36 pickup on this forum. One minor thing, '36 pickups are model 67, not model 37.

Re: 1935 Fordor - Need working Vacuum Wiper Motor
Another vote for Melissa Klein who did the TRICO on my '36 pickup; excellent work, reasonable price and fast turnaround. She didn't even charge extra for the fact that I mucked around with it before...

Re: Oil Pump?
If he still has a 21 stud motor in his '36, and it is an early '36, it could have poured main bearings as opposed to an insert type (LB block). If it has poured bearings, I don't think the...

I ran into this with my '36 pickup, which has a poured-bearing stock 221 cu in motor. I posted about this in September 2022, ultimately came to replacing the oil pump with a high volume Melling M-15...

Re: Off topic. Remember TV show Columbo?
I actually drove a Peugeot 403 my last year in high school ('64-'65), a sedan (not a ragtop)-nice little car when it ran, albeit gutless. 4 on the tree, sunroof. Definitely the oddball car at my...
