Re: Overvoltage

Re: Steelpack placement

What one person thinks is good sounding another may think it's loud. I can only tell you what I did with my 8ba exhaust. General consensus on this site is to use 1-3/4 pipe instead of 2 inch.
I ...

Re: Magneto and bets

I'm jumping in here without reading all the posts. Bored and Stroked is correct, running v-belts backwards on the idler at this extreme angle will be too tough on the belts.

Re: Oil Pressure Sender... 6v & 12v

I'm not understanding your post. You put a voltage converter in? The under dash gauges are they after market? Like others have said, you can't mix non-matching senders with gauges unless your...

Re: stromberg 97 problems

My little screw in fuel gauge always stops reading when hot also. Its the nature of the beast. There are good ones you can buy that work when hot. Aeromotive 15632 is supposed to be a good one. I can...

Re: Yes, times they are a changing

That's the way I look at bidding on Ebay. However, I've had some regrets on not bidding high enough. Chalk it up to water under the bridge.

Re: Columbia Rear install info

You're going to enjoy your Columbia. What controls are you planning on, the early vacuum over vacuum or electric over vacuum?

Re: Columbia Rear install info

Yes Straightener.

The one in the picture is size specific. If you are planning on buying one, I would suggest an adjustable one for different sizes. It would be more cost effective and save...

Re: Columbia Rear install info

How Many feet??

My car is a custom job for a "32". My two piece were 4 foot each. Maybe someone who did an installation on a 33-34 can chime in.

3/8" soft copper usually comes in a 25 ft...

Re: Columbia Rear install info

I can tell you how I did my "32". I ran parallel 3/8" copper on the inside of the passenger frame rail. I was able to pass it between the K-member and the frame where I extended to the control...

Re: Anything V8 happening Jan/Feb in San Diego?

I just got back from San Diego after spending the Holiday at my sisters. I was surprised of the more conservative attitude then what I imagined of California. People are friendly and courteous.

Re: A lick of paint for the ol Deuce....

Nothing looks better then a nice paint job. I have come to despise the fake patina look.

Re: New build (not fired), water in cylinder-head gasket backwards?

I was always told don't use a regular tap. Use a "thread chaser tap".

Re: Dual Stromberg questions

When you say rebuilt, were they done by a professional, like by Charlie from NY?
There's more to it then just installing a kit.

Re: Frenzel

Ronnie, Isn't the beauty of a vacuum advance it will retard timing when you open up the throttle? Where with mechanical advance you don't have that.

I run the 91 octane non-corn fuel and the plugs...

Re: Frenzel

I guess I'm confused on the Op's query. Does he own it, manufacture them or is thinking about purchasing one? Maybe it's color choice, I don't know.

Re: Frenzel

Looks like a stock 8ba crank pulley. I would bet it's a work in progress. Looking at the pictures he has some clearance issues to work out.
The distributor looks like it's in the way of using the...

Re: Here’s a guy that likes flatheads & Vettes
