Also, I have a streetrod, so I used to frequent a site called streetrodding dot com, but it got hacked. After it got rebuilt it...

Re: Carb leak
Not likely, because at the exit of the tank there is a bung there. Think of it like a huge flat washer that is threaded. Tighten the neve valve in there, but don't go crazy. Do yourself a favor;...

Re: Sealed beams
I like mine too. Well worth the $102, and less than 1 hour to install and aim.

Re: Rear Diff Plug HELP
Kroil is great!
Don't chase those threads with a tap. Pipe threads are not that way, ask a machinist.
If you go the weld a nut on, turn the air on an impact gun down to 30lbs, and hit it a...

Re: 56 TBird
Maybe one day I'll sell my ElCamino and get a baby bird, now that prices have moderated on them. Who knows.

Re: Rear Diff Plug HELP
Wire brush, and penetrating oil sprayed liberally on it 3 x day for at least a week first. If you own a Model-A now you need patience!
And I do not mean WD-40!

Re: TRB Overdrive?
Wow, look at that. When I hear stories like that I wonder what happened? I also wonder what happened to the design? If there were issues, etc....? I mean what if Terry Burtz simply gave up...

Re: Adjusting timing
Thank you Y-Blockhead. I am happy to accept your thoughts. Sometimes technical data is good, some times it just confuses the issue.
BTW, my crankshaft is counterweighted and balanced. Plus...

Re: Adjusting timing
How do you like that balancer, and belt? I have a pressurized center main, the whole nine-yards has been balanced all the way back to the pressure plate. Do you think it will make your engine live...

Re: rod nuts...why the odd size?
My A had a little less than 50,000 miles on it when it got it's engine rebuild. All indications were that it was it's first. I had to go buy a 4-point socket. I think I still have it in my toolbox.
