Jump 12v straight to the starter and bypass anything going into and under the dash, you can burn your coil up for sure!!! Your starter should handle the 12V's to get it to spin. I wouldn't sit...

Yes, 37 and later have the lower or "mid mount" stud for the generator. ALSO on the 37 and later the "Ramped" front mount is not as pronounced as the 33-36.

Here is the baffle that fits into the round opening of the 35-36 intake, as you also see the round tube for the fuel pump push rod tube fits down the center of the baffle

Here is a "basic" picture difference. First two are 36, last two are Mid/Late 35. Remember the Gen mount stud is mounted high on the gen mount face. 37 and later are mid/lower mounted studs!!

I take mine to my engine machine shop and he runs it in his hot tank and cleaner for me!!!! THEN I use tub-o-towels to wipe mine clean before I clean it with denatured alcohol and then I paint it...
