Re: Removing rear hubs
Before I bought a hub puller, I'd just loosen the rear nuts 2 turns then slowly drive the car around the block turning the steering wheel left and right like a stock car driver keeping his tires warm...

Re: List of Reproduction "A" Parts That Don't Work
Brent,
#1 - In your fist example, you switch out the same processes to make a more elegant handle which would change things so stick with everything equal. BTW, for our handles they have a shallow...

Re: Motor shuts down
Mine did that at it was the ignition armored cable. The insulation inside the cable became old and dry and was breaking off in three different places. The wire inside was shorting out to the outer...

Re: Cleaning the radiator

I'd go 72 hours at a time neutralizing the...

There is only one thing a new model A'er should have in their toolbox, is the "no fear to try anything new no matter how complex and scary" attitude. Oh, and good hearing.
Everything needed will...

Re: It's a crime
I had 3 Dodge Chargers in 1978, a 68, 69 and a 70. At the time they were not what they are today and I ended up getting rid of the 69 with a torch after pulling the engine and trans. When thinking...

I don't think so, but one never knows. It only happens when the car is wared up and only when starting off in first gear. It isn't consistent and only happens 1/8 of the time, but is getting more...

Re: old VW crash pic
Looks like the "A" did well against the VW. The picture with a VW sporting a 31 radiator and radiator shield are comical. I wonder if they converted it to a rear wheel drive with an "A" engine in the...

Re: Suddenly running rough
Hey All,
I think I have found the problem. It's not arcing on either plastic body, it's a reflection of an arc that is happening at the condenser wire connection to the points when #1 goes...
