I read, and I believe it was here on ford barn, someone said theyregulated theirs to 5lbs of fuel at idle and they never had an issue and that alot of the issue with this carburator is pumping more...

Well, that may be an issue. Looking at this carb it doesn't look like the governor can just be removed and the ports plugged. I'm not entirely invested on using it if it's going to cause me issues....

I'm not too worried about the performance aspect to be honest. I'll be running EAB heads and hopefully I can get ahold of an EAB camshaft, stock bore. Being a realist I'm pretty sure I'll be lucky to...

I've read that the 4 barrel manifold offenhauser offers is a good match for the holley 4000 and that the load-a-matic distributor can be used if you change the drive gear. So far that's the plan, the...

Sorry I"m just now replying. The number on the base is ECS-9510 E LIST-1391. It does have a spark valve, and there is a giant govenor on the front.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I'm hoping someone on here can help me with this. I recently bought a remanufactured Holley 4000. Every example i've seen so far has small rounded choke plates....
