Looks like the trim on a 46-48 Ford glove box lid. Size would be about right.

To test the hydraulic switch, remove the wires on it and connect them. If the lights work, the switch is the problem.

However, your owners manual may have a listing for all the fuses. If you don't have one, try ebay for it. Or get a Shop manual

Stock spec for rocker arm gap,is .019. See if you can locate the noisy rocker and make sure the push rod goes up and down

The stock 53 carb vacuum source will not work with the Pertronix. The stock vacuum is very low while the Pertronic will require a stronger vacuum "pull" and is usually connected to a source below...

57 and up to the 80's some where Fords used a ballast resistor that is easy to get. I don't know the spec's on it.

A source for a rebuild of yours is AG Rebuilders in Massachusetts. I have had a few done by them with no problems.

51 sedan ? If so, there should be bolts that go thru the floorboard. Usually two each side.
