If you have a machine shop close or know someone that has a vacuum checker this will let you know for sure if they are sealing or not, lot of work to put together and do over...

If you take the gas line loose at carb and the gas valve is off there should be no gas coming out of gas line, if there is gas valve is bad

If you tap it on the rear, you only tap deep enough to have a couple threads and thats ok, or maybe I should say only enough that fitting will only thread in a couple threads, if you go deeper the...

I have a 66 ford f 100 and use to if I let it sit for anytime the valves would stick and bend push rods when I tried to start , I poured a couple bottles of Stihl two cycle chainsaw oil in gas tank...

take all the other nuts off and have someone to pry the wheel to put pressure on the problem one and use impact wrench to loosen,sometimes this will work.

Glad you all enjoyed , that is the first flathead I have completely rebuilt,it has .080 pistons, stock heads, carb, intake stock size valves with 3 angle valve job and a Isky 817700 cam, springs...
