Re: Original body style???
Also, the tailgate may be original but the box isn't, And pickup tail light was mounted under box, not on fender.

Re: defunct car dealers
A long-shot but there's a Turan-Foley dealership (GM products) in Gulfport. Foley isn't an uncommon name but maybe a descendant of Foley-Crain? Might be worth a phone call to find out.

Re: WWII Ration truck
Another popular conversion was cutting the rear door section out of a Fordor, attaching the rear quarter to the cowl/front door section and adding a pickup box. I've also seen it done with a Tudor...

Re: Jazz Age '28 Sport Coupe on Hemmings Auction
I had a buddy in high school who was into Model T. We had a friendly rivalry about whether it was better than a Model A. One time he said the A gas tank could blow up in my face. I replied, "Yeah,...

Re: getting into the Rumble Seat
Decades ago, my sister-in-law with her husband and five kids visited us. The wives took the two older ones shopping and left the men to babysit the rest. We loaded them in the rumble seat (they...

Re: Car ID (non Model T)
Try posting on the "What is it?" sub-forum on the AACA site - it's for all makes and they're pretty good at ID. You have to register but it's free and you don't have to be a member.

Re: Learning To Drive a Model T
I have no advice to offer other than a quote from my uncle (who grew up in the T era), "Ya gotta be a damn octopus to drive one!" :D

Re: 1931 Model A Ford Mail Truck for sale
Yeah, they're not very practical. Sadly, my advanced age and infirmity means dreaming is all I now can do Model-A-wise. But if I was in the market for one and found say, a 29 Tudor (the highest...

Re: 1931 Model A Ford Mail Truck for sale
If one restores cars for a living, they better make a profit at it. If one is a hobbyist, not so much. I'm the latter and I figure I'm doing well to break even. Any loss is just the cost of the...

Re: Rare model A body styles......
Probably the rarest of all, at least for US production - the 1931 Travelers Wagon, a Model A RV. Less than a dozen made - a few replicas but no known original survivors. It was an offshoot of the...

^THIS!^ At least half the pix I see on the net are upside down and/or backward. The passenger side should look like a letter S and the driver's like a backward S - the fake knob should point to the...

Re: 28 closed cab
Repro passenger visor is available - dunno if it would fit or could be modified to do so. Or maybe a sheet metal cover for your frame could be fabricated.
