Re: Gas Tank ID
Not model . Model T take has a female thread on the filler tube and no gas gauge. If you can find a cap for the filler neck, it probably can be used.

Re: Interior Question
Go to a auto trim shop and ask for 'panel board'. It is about 1/8 " thick and can be sewn to.
Where in NY are you located? My nephew has a lot of it in his shop in Hyde Park.

Re: 1953 Mercury Paint Source
Take it to a automotive paint supplier that has a camera matching system. The can match the color and mix up a pint of paint for you.

Re: Headliner Ideas
If you replace the cloth, use a brushed cotton. It is correct for headliners and also is lighter in weight and less likely to sag.

Re: Rod Caps - Advice Needed
I would say that as long as you don't hear the rods making noise or are not experiencing any problems, leave the rods alone. The rods have been put in that position for a reason at some time in the...

Re: Leg Room Question
I can't answer for touring cars, but the front seat in a Coupe or possibly even a tudor sedan can be moved back for more leg room. You would have to shorten the package shelf in the coupe, but in the...

Re: adding electric fuel pump
I had the same idea about an electric pump. Due to lung damage from Covid, I cannot get under. Instead I give the carburetor a shot of ether after sitting a while and the car starts right up and...

Re: Spindle bolt replacement question
Oil is better than grease. The tolerance between the king pin and the bushing is only a few thousands. It takes much longer for the grease to travel down the king pin and you risk scoring the...

Re: Model T electric fuel pump.
Since the fuel is gravity feed, you shouldn't be starving for fuel unless there is a blockage somewhere. Are you using a fuel filter? If you are, that is the problem. gravity feed does not do well...

Re: switch
It may not be the switches. Silicone brake fluid will destroy the type of switch that screws into the master cylinder. This is why the switches were moved to the pedal.
