I'm 89 and have much of the same problem. What I've done is replace the heavy wet cell batteries with Optima batteries located in the same places. They are much lighter and require zero maintenance....

I remember VE Day well. My father was driving our '39 Plymouth with my mother, sister and me near Lake Hopatcong, NJ. They were firing cannons over the lake. The noise was deafening.

Keith, That's interesting, I sold my early OCPU in March last year for the same reason that you sold your Phaeton. The guy I sold it to calls me once in a while but has never complained about this.
