Re: Distilled water
If I recall, Paul Shinn said he runs a distilled water and antifreeze mixture. Let's go ask him. Oh, wait....

Re: Shortened pitman arm
The shortened pitman arm does make it easier to turn the wheels due to less drag link travel for the same steering wheel movement. It's like a different gear ratio in a transmission.
However, if...

Re: Adjusting Brake Rods
If your Model A was just rolling out of the factory and nothing has yet been modified, worn, used, no aftermarket or repro parts, and fresh, then the rods would all be correct. 95 years later, that...

Re: Dropping the oil pan
Don't feel bad. I made the same goof when recording a pan-drop video. In editing, hearing myself say that, did one of those forehead open-palm slaps. D'oh! But since it was already said, and done,...

Re: sign of the times
I learned how to drive on a manual. Drove tractors and dump trucks (farming) until I was old enough to get a driver license. Never even saw an automatic car until high school. Still feels too...

Re: Fuse size
Yes. And to expand upon what others have said, most Model A wiring harnesses are made from 14 ga. wire. In my location, code dictates that 14 ga. wire will handle up to 15 amps safely (at room...

Re: Fuse size

Re: Fuse size
Depends on the load(s). If using all stock lights and just the single brake light, 20 or 25 amp fuse is fine. If using two tail lights and halogen headlights, 30 amp fuse minimum. If using all...

Re: Grease in 2-tooth
You could certainly do that. Use some brake kleen or similar and spray as much of that out of there as possible. Then, fill with proper lube and drive it for a while. Flush after a few months of...

Re: rebuild engine
Depends on your machine skills and/or size of bank account. Can you do the work yourself? If not, do you have any experienced machine shops within a comfortable drive distance from you?
Since I...

Re: Pressure plate adjutant
I don't re-adjust after installation. Someone else said they do that. If you adjust the fingers after installing, your flywheel had better be absolutely perfect. Otherwise, don't readjust. That's...
