Which Optimum battery is significantly lighter. The ones I see are 38lbs to 43lbs?

I did a dry run w Mom on one side me on the other with the broomstick handle thru the lift strap with both doors open. I might have to push the car outside as the passenger door won’t open wide...

Hi Tubman, currently running an old red top Optima. May be my age & back :eek: but mine is pretty dam heavy. Maybe the older ones were? Mine is about 12 yrs old.

Tubman, its converted to neg ground 12V. I had a red top 12V 800 CCA & it lasted 10 plus. This is the replacement for that.

The same car Bob. It’s a ‘35 w an 8BA with some performance upgrades. I left the battery under the floor partially under the front seat.

I decided it’s time for a new battery. While I probably over did the charge @ 40 amps for 2 hours charger indicated only 1/2 charged @ 1 hour, I think the 10 yrs old the battery was shot anyway!...

I think I fried something! The last time I tried to turn it over after pulling the car in gear w another car to make sure I had turned the ring gear thinking it might still b the starter gear stuck!...

Thx Jake, I appreciate the offer!!! But I’m quite a ride from you. 2.5 -3 hours. I’m 15 minutes from the Deleware WaterGap. I’m pretty sure it’s a solenoid. New heavy duty 12V one is under $20....

If I put positive cable clamp on the terminal on the starter & the ground clamp to the frame that would / should actuate the starte eliminating the starter as the problem right?

Using known good battery from another car is out tor now! Back won’t let me & no other help lol in sight for a while! I did hook up my 200 amp starter charger I eliminated the battery hooking...

Just to add some detail I have ( yrs ago ) converted to push button start. Could b solenoid as I know aftermarket ones don’t like sitting for months w/o activity. It is a 6 volt starter but engine...

I Had more back surgery Oct 29. Car was starting running fine thru Oct then sat until now (6 months) due to surgical restraints. I do recall this happening before after the car sat for extended...
