You will need to bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel, with the clutch disk in place, just as it would be when in use, and then adjust the fingers using the tool....

If the radiator cap happens to be nickel plated, which I think is unlikely, you can use Brass Black to darken it. It can then be polished to achieve whatever level of weathering suits you.

If it's chrome then you will probably have to buff it off. That will expose whatever is underneath, but if the material underneath is not brass it may not look very authentic.

I forgot to get a picture of the heads of the studs(slotted screws) before I insulated them, but there is an adequate gap as long as the screws are tight.
