Must have been a reason for the stick filter on valve(existing rust etc) in tank! When you had valve out should have flushed out! You can remove gas line from carb put a clear rubber hose on to drain...

The (R) is the designation given to the Ford Milwaukee Wisconsin Assembly Plant. Ohio was (G), Portland Oregon (PO) etc. etc. Numbers I need a picture of those with the letter.?

Make sure your jet is tight with one gasket! One gasket on plug tight!

Maybe wrong inner or outer cable parts not matching up! Is yours the outer original style steel case or nylon repo?

disconnect battery.loosen the three bolts pull starter forward. if rocking in gear doesn't work!

Only 12 were made in the 90's Trade Name, its an synchronized sliding gear transmission,straight cut gears move lever in neutral no DB clutching,shift gears put back in to gear.

Just saw another carb installed doing the same thing.! Cast iron fuel filter or glass bowl? Also installing fuel line into carb too far will restrict fuel flow!

Have you checked Idle Air adjustment screw(mis-adjusted or too short) or dirt/rust. Next time it dies stop and remove gas line to ensure it is getting fuel and not plugged with rust??
