Re: Radiator rust inhibitor

Drive around a few miles and drain it. Refill with 50 50 anti freeze and you're good. If you are in a warm climate and it does not freeze, you could use water and water wetter.
Just be sure you...

Re: sagging drivers door -1936 ford tudorsedan

I am not familiar with a 36 Ford, however if there are body mounts between the frame
and the body, these can affect door alignment. My 49 wagon doors - their heavy, were sagging. Adjusting the...

Re: 1953 Mercury Monterey Front suspension

It is a ton of work...did my very original '49 woodie recently.
Ref the king pins, I had a local shop install and ream the bushings. There are some thin 'washers' that are shims to reduce the...

Re: Anybody use "Ezsteer" P/S conversion from Ebay?

Jim - Shoebox Central, talk with Chris, they rebuilt my 49,, and there was improvement.
Worm out steering links combined with the worn out box are not fun to drive.

Re: 51 wagon rear signal lights

Those are aftermarket lights. You have the single stop light - stock. The aftermarket were installed for turn signals and dual brake lights.
I've seen them in a few configurations.

That shoebox belongs to Ron Heiden, who does the woodie wood working. He has towed that trailer all over the west!
Not only the weight involved, the trailer must track behind the tow vehicle.

Re: 51 woodie speedometer cable

Local speedo shop made a new cable for my stock 49 wagon.

Should be the same length as the sedan - cowl is in the same location. Front clips interchange.
Did it coil during install?

Re: 1947 Ford Flathead Clutch Replacement

19Fordy's advice is the way to go. So much easier. Removing the hood, keep track of the hinge fasteners, and those washers.
