Re: Tie rod and drag link question ?
Teflon cold flows when under load and that is why your toe-in alignment will continually change. A better choice of material is Rulon which has additives to resist cold flow. An even better choice...

Re: New timing gear
The crankshaft is in the wrong place and too far away from the camshaft.
On a rebuilt engine, the centerline of the line boring machine is located on the bottom plane of the cylinder block and...

Re: valve guide question
The slip-in guides are not a press fit and the fit should result in no detectable wobble when fully installed in the cylinder block.
If the guides wobble when installed, they are too loose.

Re: valve guide question
Press-in guides may cause frustration because of the following:
1) The fit of press-in valve guides can vary from loose to tight

Re: Distributor Cap Advance Lever Slot
Paul Shinn, Ford drawing A-12105 released under EI 17641 on Sept 19, 1930 specifies a slot width of 31/32 inch. I suspect that the repro is correct and your original distributor body with the 1-1/32...

The serial number boss on the new Burtz engine is not stamped. This allows the purchaser to use original font stamps that pass blue point judging and any DMV.

I agree and would like to ad that insert bearings are not that new.

Re: New Engine, Turlock Swap Meet
The bad news is no because we need to order 100's of camshafts at a time and every camshaft needs to be identical to keep the price reasonable.
The good news is that the depth of induction...
