Working on this 97 carb and the needle and seat threads have been enlarged. will a 7/16th -20 helical fix this?

See the pictures, what I thought was a plug, is a vent to the idle circuit. this is on the bases thst are sculptured, the solid larger bases are different and do not have this extra...

Hello; a new guy,Working on some Ford 97s. Hopefully I can put some pictures here. Or how do I put picture here? there is a brass plug that comes out of the EE-1 base. But not on all of the bases...
