Good call, Bob. I just scratched the holes and it seems to be just a mark. There is undrilled metal under the marks on the A block.

Reuse model a oil in another vehicle w oil filter
Ok, this sounds a little wierd, but we don't like to leave unfiltered oil in the Model A for very long, thus we have recommendations to change it after 500 miles or maybe 1000 miles.
My assertion...

of the 199 made, there are only 8 currently certified to fly.

BTW, it takes off and flies at 98 mph and about 1000 ft. Stall speed is an amazing 56mph! This is tame. DO IT IF YOU CAN.
